Plug into a great Church that will support you as you go through periods of depression, lonliness, financial stress, work issues, and other things that will come about. Jesus said that we are to minister to those in prison, but this does not mean that the loved ones left behind are to be ignored, either. Keep your romance with him strong-have him pull on your strength. Write him every single day with POSITIVE news, don't speak of sad things. He must have HOPE through your love. Send him pictures, send him love notes, send him sweets - kinda like he is in the service, fighting a war, far far away. A soldier who misses his family as he faces battles every day. Be there for him in love, and don't be distracted by other men; be steadfast in your love for your husband, and forgive him for whatever landed him in prison. He needs to know that he is forgiven, and that you WILL be there when he gets out.

Keep up the faith - God is there with his arms around you, giving you strength to get through this.

How long he is in there and what he did to get there is a major deciding factor. If the wife can't visit - it had to be something awful. If it's not your husband - do some research. Call the prison and find out if she is telling you the truth. If it is your husband, do some research. Call the prison and see if HE is telling you the truth. Can she not visit because of time/kids? soul searching, couseling and a whole lot of love is what keeps the marriage alive. Otherwise, divorce court is coming.

LOVE, is what keeps people togeather no matter what.
If you still love him and he still loves you then you can
get through it. Since you did not say how long or for what
he went to jail for , communicate with him in any form that
you can, and continously communicate with him. It will be
a tough road ahead but if you are both COMMITTED, then
you will both survive in your marriage. If Kids are involved
then let them communicate as much as they can also.
Now is the time that you and him are being tested on
your true feelings towards each other, and if you both
get through it your marriage will end up being rock-solid.
It will depend on you and on him and hopefully with family
help you can stay strong and be there for him even
though he is in jail. Make sure that you are prepared to
last for whatever time it takes and that he still wants you
also and you can go through any obstacles togeather.
Good luck.

See this is what you wemen get for wanting to get freaky with the bad boy all the time. You think he's going to hand around and be there for you, then all of a sudden he gets thrown in the slammer.

I'd say you're getting exactly what you deserve. Now if you took your "vows" (and i use that term loosely) seriously, then you will wait for your man to get out of jail and not cheat on him. But, if you are like most women, you will go out there and "live it up" while your man is in jail.

Next time, you go for the nice guy and he won't end up in jail dum dum.

Why can you not visit your husband while he is incarcerated? What did he do to be in jail to begin with if i may ask? Write him letters and call him if you can or have him call you. It just really confuses me that you cannot even visit him. This does not normally happen as they usually let the spouse visit. Something is missing here and i feel that is something you are not telling us.

One has to ask themself some questions; is it worth saving and are you better off with or without him? Of course the wife will find out if she is better off without him during this time. Other factors come into the picture here like length of jailtime and what hes up for. Personal choice here. Good luck

Pictures and letters, (even though you can talk on the phone the letters are there to read over and over) Commitment and the willingness to spend most of nights at home waiting for a call. It is really hard for them to be in there and not able to get ahold of you . even though u will need time out and about you need to be truly comitted.

Why would you want to maintain a marriage with someone who obviously didn't care enough about you to stay out of trouble.
Quit wasting your time, get a divorce, and move on.
