although---sparingly used---I am a Texan -- and don't believe much in drowning any quality steak in Anything !! The idea of a steak is---- the steak itself !!!

It helps a tough steak taste better, but if it's a good steak, nothing beats plain with a little salt.

never been a fan.
actually a good steak doesn't need any sauce.
i think a-1 gained popularity during the carter years when people couldn't afford good cuts of meat and they needed a sauce to disguise it.

OK on french fries, but as for steaks it takes away from the taste of the meat.

speaking as a vegetarian i would not know, however I love it as it may be called steak sauce, but all thats in it is spices and vegetables for all those carnivours that need a sauce to eat meat, and what a sauce that is, especially as they should not be eating meat as all it will give them is bowel cancer

crap ....why would you ruin a perfectly good steak putting that overpowering sauce on it.
A1 is for cheap steaks and the weak minded people that think they need to dress up their expensive steaks with it are wasting their money.
