The were very close, but then they had a fight. I guess Gerard cleaned up and left Bert behind, which is good. That relationship was only harming Gerard.

They had some mysterious falling out a while ago, no one knows much about it. Bert won't really talk about it. Gerard said it started falling apart when he decided to go sober. If you read that Blender magazine artice with MCR that came out a couple months ago, Gerard talks about his side and his feelings about it, but Bert has decided to keep mum about it.

It had to do with the song under pressure , they both wanted to put it on there Cds and it started an argument.
