No it doesnt it just means you need to take some time out somewhere if you can, somewhere safe where you can reflect on things that are causing you to feel this way. I felt I was going insane, I consider myself to be a bit of a crazy nut at the best of times but I ended up not being able to cope with just the ordinary things. It was a breakdown I believe but not where I went running naked into the street ranting and raving or anything like that. Go to your GP - have a good chat and dont be afraid if he suggests anti-depressants, they will help take the edge off things for you as a temporary measure - see a psychologist you feel comfortable with and just talk and talk about how you feel - dont freak out at the prospect of seeing a psychiatrist either, theres no big deal I can tell you, you just want to get on with your life and you will get there believe me. Good luck.

It has been suggested that insane people don't know they're insane... for them, the reality that they experience - be it talking to and being answered by your reflection, hearing voices telling you to do things, or seeing strange and often terrifying things - is indeed their reality, because they have no concept, no measure of what is "normal" (by normal's standard).
It's my contention that if you think you are going insane, or recognise that your actions seem unusual when compared to the way you would usually act in a situation, then chances are you aren't insane, it is just your mind and body's response to external and internal stressors and is infact, your mind trying to make sense of these new perceived problems so that it can return itself to a state of homeostasis (which in the process can often make you feel like you're going crazy - believe me!)

No, it's those of us who don't believe we are insane that you should be worrying about.
