The Amish grow their own food. Meat, fruits and veggies are all proudly grown by the families and shared amongst each other. I think it's a little strange- but really, quite beautiful!

They celebrate christmas and easter. They drink unpasturized milk, coffee, tea and apple juice. They eat pork, chicken, beef, fish, many basic veggies, and fruits. Think 1880's diet. Mostly what they can grow or gather themselves. They celebrate all the major Christian holidays, but lack gaudy gifts and decor. Mostly holidays are a big meal, some church, and perhaps a small gift at christmas. One per person.
They can eat anything they choose, but the lack of money limits the choices they have from a store.
