I'm going to be spending valentine's day alone for sure, but I'm kinda looking forward to that. I'm in a long distance relationship, but who knows I may not even be in one by then.

I will spend my Valentine's Day alone. Nothing new this year compare to the last years. I have always spent every Valentine's Day alone. So what ? I don't care about Valentine's day... I haven't really pay any attention to it in fact ! Well, I was not (and will not again this year) be exactly alone, I have my family, my fish and my friends to share the day with. I would certainly not feel lonely and left out because I like to be alone, I like my liberty... You know, being free to go where you want, to do what you want... and the feeling that nobody could drive your life.
After all, Valentine's Day is as all those special dates (Christmas, New Year's Day...) it has became a commercial operation.
But be sure that one day, not especially a Valentine's Day, I will find MY "Valentine" ! ;)

I learned years ago not to fret over not having a significant other around Valentine's Day. Love will manifest itself in its own natural way, whether or not you are looking for it. Don't worry about being alone. Throw yourself into work or something you love doing by yourself. Valentine's Day is only 1 day of the year; enjoy the other 364.

It's tradition; I have spent the previous 21 Valentine's Days alone, so why not this one too? Strangely my relationships never last long enough to make it to Valentine's Day. If I think about it too much It can make me feel lonely and left out, as you say, but often there is no choice in the matter.

Nothing new this year. I've spent every Valentine's Day alone since about 1980 or so. Well, not exactly alone, I've got my cat, Pinkies, to share the day with. Lonely and left out got up and left a long time ago.

You can spend Valentine's Day with people that you love, you don't have to be dating. Close Friends, Family Members etc... they're all people you can spend it with. It does get lonely if you truly don't have anybody, but you can always avoid it by watching a DVD or something.
