You have not lost your mind. You are doing what you believe in. I think that your peers and family members just don't understand your views.
If you were a mass murderer, then you would have lost your mind. :)

U haven't lost it, although it duz sound (no offense) that ur a little full of it when u talk about a piece of cake like that. If u don't want a piece of cake dont "light-heartedly" go off on a rant, say no thanks. I'm all for saving the enviroment, but u need to remember to try not to sound like a conceited @hole, regardless of your opinion on processed foods.

if you feel the need to go off on some lame rant about the government when someone offers you a piece of cake -- then yes you lost your mind. a simple no thank you should have been said and if she pressed you further -- make up a polite story about some reason why you don't want to eat it. not some freaky story about government conspiracies, etc.

First of all, never turn down chocolate! just kidding.
No you haven't lost your mind. You have a different sense of humor and you've found a way to live your life and a way to express your opinions. Good for you for having one and being vocal about it.
It's probably difficult for your family and friends to get used to the 'new' you. Give them time.
Turning down chocolate will make anyone think you've lost it! LOL

I wouldn't say you lost your mind, but you maybe going a little overboard on somethings. The government has nothing to do with cake. They don't make the cake, they have nothing to the with the cake.
Government is politics. Cake is food.

It takes courage to stand up for what you believe in. Being different will invite attacks from everyone, family and close friends the most. If you really believe in what you are doing, get used to it. Most people want you to be what they are. Purposeless and wandering.

That same thing happens with everything.
Clothes, tatooes, anything that a group declares as membership.
They just want you to be part of their group.
You choose not to be part of that group, at least not by eating cake.
Chocolate is just something they consider to be taken in order to stay part of that group.

I dont think you lost it. Everyone has there own opinion on how they want to live whether its being an vegetarian or not and eats meats. We all have our own way. I dont blame you, I dont eat after other people myself. not even my own husband! or blood relative! I dont eat after others cause who knows what they may have! ya never know!
your friends should accept you for who you are and not WHAT you are. ya know?
