I have a big interview coming up and I am trying to decide what to wear. I have read that skirt suits are considered more professional and I was thinking about buying one. My only concern is that I would have to wear hose. Is this a requirement? I would much prefer to go barelegged with a cute pair of open toed shoes.

Not wearing hose is very unprofessional. I'd go with the pants suit.

Pant suits are more traditional, but skirt suits are more acceptable now than before. It has more of a feminine style to it. However, pantyhose are a MUST. It is also very important to be comfortable at an interview. I wear skirt suits because I do find them comfortable and, I do not mind the pantyhose (I enjoy dressing up). I would visit: -Target -Express -The Limited -Dillards -Macy's

Hi, skirt or pant suit is fine but must have on hose if a skirt. No open toed shoes and bare legs, you send the wrong message of just wanting to have fun and not a serious worker.

Well, it depends on the job actually. Though there are no set rules (except that you should look good, and professional) If it's a CEO or business, or finacial type job- I recomend a nice pants suit. It its for something like retail, ect. A skirt suit is nice. If you do go with a skirt suit- don't wear hose- try that spray on hose (I know Sally Hansen makes some) But don't wear a skirt suit if it's a shorter skirt- it looks kinda hootchie.

If you choose to wear a skirt, you definately need stockings. It is a business world requirement! And absolutely NO open toes! (Well, a little peep is okay, but not OPEN.)

So... if it's for an office, definately wear pants. (I think it's more professional, personally.) If it's with a clothing store or something like that, open toes may be more appropriate. A rule of thumb is to find out what the other employees wear and dress one level up!

Skirt suit. Go with a pencil skirt that runs a little past the knees. In this day and age, it really isn't necessary to wear stockings--just make sure your legs are shaved, and not dry. Open toe shoes are a no-no. Go with a pair of pumps.

wear a panty hose. take a spare as well. it's not always wrong to wear tights with open toe shoes. As long as u match them well, they can look very nice. Oh, and wear skirt suit. Don't go for too formal. Nowadays they have huge selection of suits that best fits u. Suits that are for young women comes in very sophiscated but not too stiff looking style. I have a suit style formal wear, and i just love it! I'm not suit person cuz they can b uncomfortable, but these r just so nice! try "sisley" or "Tankus" They're very unique and cool!

It might depend to some degree on the position you are applying for, but I am guessing a typical professional business position. You can wear either a pant suit or skirt and hose isn't necessary. You don't want to work for anyone who would hire (or not hire) you based on that anyway - unless perhaps it is some sort of fashion job.

Pants suit definately Look professional and avoid distracting the interviewer accidently. You want (him potentially) to concentrate on your job skills and personality, and not get distracted into side issues. I once interviewed a person for a job that had a condition that caused his lip to bleed. I'm ashamed to say I had a lot of trouble concentrating on the person, rather than the lip

No bare legs and no open toed shoes to an interview. That looks very unprofessional. You can wear your pantsuit, as long as it is a tailored suit and wear closed toe shoes.
