I am an iranian , I know that being from Iran makes many of you bring up many thoughts about terrorism, nuclear power and those sort of stuff, but I am not political and i can't really explain it. Iran is the second oil producer in the world and that means a lot of money, but only 4% of people live above the poverty line, the rest are struggling for daily basics. prostitution, divorce, and many many other problems are dramaticly increasing every day.
people in USA and Europe are always concerned about the children in africa, or any other part of the world, but since IRAN is in the list of AXIL of DEVIL all the attentions are to the political issues.
there are lots of children who need help, they can't go to school, they don't have food, they need to work for 1$ per day in order to provide their family.
I want to know who is going to help these kids, as a human being.
while this is not an issue for Islamic government of Iran?

you sound like a decent, honest person. thanks for asking. you do not have to be Iran-ian to be concerned about children. you have to be just "human" -- and want justice and equity. it is a hard problem you pose there for us to solve. the political will is not there -- as you state clearly. the political will of the government of Iran first and foremost and then -- the shift is to the political will of world leaders. we are a long way to the second step. the Iranian president while fully aware of the poverty of the children in his country and is responsible for their well being --ignores the reality and prefer to be on world news stage declaring the non-existence of the holocaust and wiping out from the map an already established entity for the past half a century and more. Impossible to guess how such a man -- could be chosen in a country that at one time took part in the advance of civilization. I can not explain but surely think that the "silent majority" in Iran has been silenced. it is real a loss. back to your concern about children -- in fact to-day good will nations have signed an official agreement in Europe protecting the rights of children. you should rejoice with that first and important step. hope it helps.

I am well aware that the majority of the people of Iran are decent people who have no desire to harm the US or any other country. However, I don't know how to help these people when the government is so hostile to us. I hope the time will come when this will happen, and Iran will become a place of freedom and prosperity.

I don't know who is going to help, but I have often wondered about the people there-seems the 'oil-barons' live way over the top...and most of thier countrymen are so poor they only have the clothes on thier backs!
