Here is a tip ^_^
Pick one topic a night, and read through it, making notes. Don't spend too long on it, just try and get the basics in your head, and do *loads* of examples. The more examples you do, the more the theory is engrained in your head. Then the next night, do ten minutes revision on the topic you did the night before. This time try and do one of the examples without looking at the book.
If you really get stuck, then ask the teacher privately if you can have some help at lunchtimes jsut to bring you up to speed.
Hope that helped

get help from teacher after school and start studying the day you hear about the test. Although it may seem hard to study, look over any rules learned and try to make up example problems or redo problems already completed so that you can see what you did wrong if you didn't get the same answer.

well...i have a same expericence as u have! And now,as a college student , I am still suffering from it. but I know my classmate who do well in math tell me that the best way to learn math is to practice. I think it is true for she proves it to me. I saw she was doing math exercises everyday.
