Is anything recorded on the actual internet? Or just the computer?

Are people getting money when I visit their sites? If so, I don't particularly like the idea of internet @#$$oles getting money from me...

1. Most websites make their money from banners from companies like adsense. of those, some pay when you click on the link, others pay when a page loads(traffic) and some of them are free services like .govs.

2. Google keeps a log of EVERYTHING you do. If you search for "firecrackers" and a federal ban hits on firecrackers, the fbi could get every record for anyone who has ever searched for it.

3. Verizon dsl keeps tracks of sites loaded and downlaods and makes them readily available to all governmental offices. It states this in their TOS. Most cable providers are a little better about this, RoadRunner(as of 2005) did not allow any government agencies any access no matter what.

Hi. Anything can be traced on any medium. Look at some of the high profile crime cases and you'll see "so and so emailed such and such text that said this and that and pictures of (take you pick)". And most folks running the internet sites you visit are usually trying to make a living. No harm in that. YOU don't pay necessarily but someone does.

Nobody makes any money if you just access their website. The only way that they make money if you access their website through some kind of AD program (Google). And in that case, you are not paying but the company sponsoring the AD pays the website owner. Nobody knows who you are until you fill out a form or you share your personal information with them.

Website owners don't get any money when you visit their site unless you click an ad. They usually make about 3 cents for each ad that is clicked.

Basically server and client (your computer) will record. Never believe such sites where you can earn money.. As per my knowledge, its all fake. Site owners will earn some money per clicks

yes, information and data is traded for every site, and dependant ON the site, (but usually), people collect money from your visit, but it's usually only enough to pay to keep that site up (remember, lots of people frequent sites).
