This guy and i have an on going "FLIRTATION" with eachother. At least that is what all my friends say. Anyways, we talk on the phone alot dont really hang out. I don't know what to do. I used to have a crush on him, but he is kinda immature. He jokingly hits me all time, but it hurts sometimes. I don't know what to do. I don't want an akward friendship. H E L P

Tough one....Depends on if you want him to be your boyfriend or give him a hint that you do not like him that way.

A big hint: I had this problem forever ago when I was in high school. I just started talking about another guy that I liked (I had to talk about someone he did not know) and that kinda got the point accross. We stayed friends even though I think he was a little dissapointed that I did not like him.

Coming from a 29 year old married woman....Sometimes there is just nothing you can do to not make it akward. Sometimes it is unavoidable.

If you like him then go for it. The days of the girls waiting for the guy to ask a girl out are over. But, you don't want to be too forward.

The truth always works too. I can not garauntee no akwardness but you could just tell him what a great friend he is and that you hope to continue that. Just friends. It sucks for a guy to hear this but sometimes that is the only option.

PS-most guys this age are a little immature. They take longer to mature but don't worry, they eventually do.

I can tell you one thing: if you try a relationship with him and it does not work out it will be much more akward then just staying friends and letting him know you are not interested. Trust it from a girl who has tried this way to many times and found that it always ends the same way. No matter what age you are!

Communication. Things can get awkward because there is nothing said that needs to be-no resolution. If he is acting in a way that you find unattractive or even rude, he needs to know, and because this is bothersome to you, you need to tell him. If he can't deal with what you have to say and respect it, you don't need him as a friend. It sounds as though you two are at two different places in your life and you may be able to help him mature by talking with him about his actions.
