No green light means your speakers are not getting any power. It should be lit even if your speakers are not connected.

The speaker output on the back of your computer is usually a light green mini-jack.

The sound card is the device that you plug your speakers into in the back of your computer. If your speakers aren't getting any power, that means the sound card is probably loose. You will have to take the case off your computer and shove that card back in. And don't be affraid to brake it, you will have to push it in there hard.
