My computer thinks my DVD writer is a CD drive...?

I have 2 optical drives installed to my PC.
- DVDRW
- CDRW/DVDROM

Windows recognized the DVD drive as a CD drive and neither will read DVDs.

Can anybody help?

Go into Device Manager, and remove the drivers and then reboot, windows should reinstall the drivers. If you just switched Operating Systems, you may need to download the latest firmware update, if there is one.
