I was at youth group tonight and this girl asked a bunch of us what we thought about my best friend and her boyfriend. He is a senior and she is a freshmen. I said that I really didn't like it that they were dating and he wasn't my favorite person in the world. I also said that I probably wouldn't go with her to shop for her dress for prom. Well a guy that was standing with us came up to me later and said she overheard the whole thing that we all said. We all said what we meant but it wasn't meant for her to hear. When I confronted her about it she said he came up to her and told her. I asked him about it and he got really mad at me. My best friend is upset with me because of all this........ I don't know what to do? Any advice?

I don't want to go prom dress shopping with her because prom is meant for Juniors and Seniors and I don't want her to ruin the experience by going as a Freshmen.
I have talked to her about it but she is still upset...

just tell her that your sorry but thats the way you feel
and the reason you never told her that is because you never wanted
to butt in her personal life andtell her not to be upset anymore
and u can say something deep

Being you said what you did. If it was me I would tell her I'm sorry for saying what I did to anyone. Tell her why you feel as you do but then again tell her you should not have said anything to anyone except to her. Tell her you still want to be friends and your try to watch what you say in future

well.. im not sure...theres no reason not to go prom dress shoppin wit ur girl jus cuz u dont like her guy...wuts that got to do with two friends goin shopping...so thats wut i dont get...but tell her that...you just think he is too old and dont feel comfortable wit her dating him...thats the only reason u said that stuff..and that she didnt hear the whole convo...ud be twistin the truth a bit...but it might get her a lil less upset..just know next time not to do that to your best friend...and go prom shoppin for her...there is no reason not too

To tell you the truth you sound a little jealous of your Friend. Let it go. She will come around, your mad because she caught you talking behind her back.
