It has now been shown that the government lied about the events that occured. These lies led to the convictions of Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. Also in the news this last week was the decision to send both men to prisons in other states...far from their families in Texas. And then we find out that one of the agents was attacked while in general population by other inmates and then not allowed medical treatment.
How does this make you feel about the judicial system and our beloved government?

By the way...The two USBP agents were convicted of firing upon and hitting admitted drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete, while he was in the process of smuggling 743 pounds of marijuana across the border. Aldrete was given immunity from prosecution for testifying against the USBP agents.

Immediate release and reversal of convictions. Then have all charges dropped, and reinstate them to their former federal positions.

I would also add that I would like to see every single Border Patrol Agent organize a strike. I'm no fan of unions, but this issue MUST be taken seriously. Any agent who's duty it is, to protect the people of the United States needs to band together in a show of solidarity for these two men.

When the people who are supposed to protect our borders aren't allowed to do their job, and have their rights stripped away from them is an outrage. The felons who cross the border illegally have more rights than our agents.

It is DISGUSTING!

It is a terrible black eye on the America justice system...there should be a complete investigation and some heads should roll... and for God's sake, get those patrol agents out of jail.

President Bush was asked to look into this and of course did nothing.. now in this one instance I understand why he did not.. but somewhere someone should be taken to task for this. if we cannot trust our own justice system.. then who can we trust. So many government departments are now so corrupt under this present government that is so busy trying to invade and save another country.. they have forgotten our own.. i am ashamed of the Republican Machine at the moment.

I feel bad about saying this, but it would have been a lot better if they had blown the scum away. If the weasle had died, his mother would not have called her friend in America and the charges would not have been filed. The only thing good coming out of this now is that the bastard that was shot is not currently peddling drugs across the border.

It is a travesty of the highest order. It undermines everything that they and the military are trying to do. I believe Bush was the best candidate in 2004, however, I strongly disagree with him here. It also makes me struggle with my reasond for staying in the military. After all, what am I protecting if the good guys go to jail and the bad guys go free?

This is a dark day in history when L.E. goes to prison for doing their jobs. This should reflect on Bush....why didn't he do something to stand up for them? Cause he is a low lying sob.
