Consider offensive prowess, obviously, but also defensive skills (as might be evident by +/-) and of course who looks good out there connecting on sweet passes, making things happen, gives lots of effort, etc

Left wing- Ryan Smyth, He is the perfect player down low and can tip any shot.
Center- Nickolas Lidstrom- Captain of the Wings is the best there is at Face Offs.
Right wing- Sidney Crosby- He has the perfect pass, he could hit someone on the tape with his eyes closed.
Left defence- Chris Pronger- League leader in blocked shots, he is not afraid of the puck at all.
Right Defence- Zedano Chara, Winner of the hardest shot at the all-star game with a wicked slaper at the point.
Goalie- Mikka Kippersof, Obviously the best goalie there is, he may not have been a starter at the all-star game, but still rocks!

depends on the situation if ur talking all time lines then yeah id definately go old school: C-Wayne Gretzky, LW-Bobby Hull, RW-Gordie Howe, and ur two defensemen Bobby Orr, and lets say Ray Bourque, goailie id say Terry Sawchuk cause u had to have balls to win that much and play goalie with a puck coming at ur bare face, close second Patrick Roy

Now if were talking today thats tough always, cause lotta young talent to judge but: C-Crosby, LW-Zetterburg, RW-Iginla, Defense- Lindstrom, Pronger and the way Loungo plays is great a guy who can face all those shots and do that daily

When someone refers to a line, it consists of the Center and the two wingers, the defensive pairing and the goaltender arent included. +/- is a bad measure especially if you are using your method due to the fact that defensive pairings arent always matched with a certain line, seeing that there is normally 4 lines and 3 defensive pairs per team.
