According to a poll, 58% of Americans believe that. I find that hard to believe. Polls seem to be misleading.

If the poll is conducted scientifically, it is usually right. If the margin of error on that poll is +/-3%, there is a 95% chance that the actual percentage is between 55% and 61%.

Polls aren't very reliable. You don't know your demographic. But, back to the subject. I don't believe that aliens have been here. I do believe that there are probably aliens out there. Why? Because, in theory, if we are possible, so are other life forms across the universe.

By "people" from other planet, you mean human beings? Or other forms of life? Scientifically, it is not possible for other planets to have had human beings. For one thing, human beings wouldn't be able to stand the weather in other planets, not to mention total lack of water and such to support life.

Highly unlikely unless those other "people" have figured out a way to travel MUCH faster than the speed of light, or have incredibly long life spans.
Also, any lifeform that has that level of technology could certainly remain unseen to us.

Don't believe it. No one builds a space ship, travels trillions of miles, just to play hide and seek with the people they find at the end of their journeys. You travel trillions of miles you need to resupply and get trade goods.

well i do beleive it. but on the other hand if you think of religous belife many people think that god made the earht and evulution starterd. and but you also cant truly prove it unless you have a physical fact.
