My 2 1/2 year old son drew all over his bedroom wall with a maroon lipstick. Does anyone know how to get rid of the stain?

Clean first with soap and water. Goof off may help with the rest of the mess. It is a good idea to make him clean it. My mother did this to me, and I never wrote or colored on a wall again.

I would try Goo Gone and then a wash with vinegar to get the rest of the Goo Gone off. GG is oil base and will leave a sheen on flat wall paint. The vinegar should cut the oil of the GG.

If you use any kind of abrasive, you may end up with streaks from the cleaning method if you aren't gentle.

I've had good success with the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Here's the website to check out what they say about which stains you can use it on:

I'd go with a mixture of baking soda and vinegar (it fizzes at first). The baking soda acts as an abrasive and the vinegar cuts grease. It there's residue left, rub it with tooth paste and rinse.

See if you can find a "Magic Eraser". I don't know who makes it (Mr. Clean I think), but it's amazing. We used it to get dried blood off of painted walls.

explain to him that it was lipstick. Then explain to him that lipstick is meant for the lips. Then uses lips to soak up the lipstick from the walls.
