so my group is suppose to design an alarm system (very basic one) in science. our group decided to do a cookie jar alarm and i was wondering if anyone had any idea how i would explain how it will be made and how it will electrically work. i also need to include a diagram. only basic materials that are listed below may be used. (besides the cookie jar)

1 or 2 1.5-V dry cells
3 meters of insulated wire
a light bulb
aluminum foil
paper clips
screws
washers
nails
metal cans
electrical tape
basin or bowl
water
salt
alligator clips

Because you don't have a relay, you can't use a closed circuit that makes the alarm sound when released, so you have to make an alarm where something falls between two contacts when the lid is moved or pulls a connection closed when the lid is lifted. That will turn on the light. Nails in the can pulled off and making noise is the only sound I can come up with. I don't think you have enough wire to make a buzzer.
