That would depend if you want to play rhythm or lead. Anything by Van Halen, GNR, or even Queen would be good for playing lead. Brian Adams or the Rolling Stones would be good for rhythm.

it depends... acoustic or electric?
for acoustic, all the guitar players i know play eric clapton - tears in heaven
for electric, metallica - enter sandman, is great

if you want something newer, rocco deluca and the burden have some good guitar stuff. he plays the dobro tho...
