The reader or viewer feels some suspense wondering what will happen to these crazy lovers but we can't take any of it too seriously.

Remember that the characters are puppets controlled by the fairies or at most comic relief in contrast to the conflicts between the other main characters.

The important action is the preparation for the Duke's wedding ceremony. (We can't even take that very seriously since this is a very light comedy which does have its serious moments as in all of Shakespeare's comedies.)

The whole thing is a dream so you can't take it very seriously. The lovers in the forest are only a little more weighty than Bottom and his clownish friends. Puck has his fun with all of them.

First thought---sounds just like the gang I knew in Junior High & High School---

Second thought--Shakespeare really does know how people tick!

I felt kinda agitated, because It's just her trying to ruin other ppls plans for her own benefit, and I hate ppl like that.
