Almost impossible to pick against Joe Montana but if all QB's were given the same team I'd go with John Elway. His arm was much stronger and I believe his desire was as well. Who could ever forget that 98 yard drive with 5:00 left in the 1986 AFC Championship Game in Cleveland.
Elway was "Captain Comeback" I'd put my money on him

My answer would depend on who the opponent is going to be. I have favorite QB's, but they all have things that they do better than others against different defenses.
If I had to pick a QB and then find out who the opponent was, in the past I would pick Bart Starr and in the present I would pick Tom Brady.
The reasons are obvious. They have both proven that they find a way to win a lot more than they cause their teams to lose.

Joe Montana no doubt, he has three superbowl rings has one of the best carrers for any qb and totally turned around the niners but my qb i would pick for the present is Vince Young he has the best ability to make any game his game. The rose bowl last year when he won the national championship he totally took over that game and the titans-v-giants this year he dominated that game he is going to be one of the best comeback kids ever

Past: Joe Montana
Present: Tom Brady
They found/find ways to win, especially big games, like when someone's life depends on it.

Wow I can't believe that no one picked Dan Marino. I've seen him many times growing up that he has brought the Dolphins back. I have a game of him against the Bears on video tape from the 95 season and he marches them down the field to set up the game tying field goal. The Bears blocked it, but still he led them down the field which was scary at the time because I'm a huge Bears fan.

I would pick John Elway or Tom Brady just because they play so good in the clutch and with Elway he can carry a team and with Brady just put people around him and he will win with it. They are my picks.

Brett Favre... he knows how to win when it counts. He played the day after his own father died and won one of best games he's ever played, and that is was under the pressure. He had 399 yards passing for 4 touchdowns that night.... why wouldn't you trust him.
