Check volume control for levels & for muting.
If the volume control is still available the sound card is detected & actively installed by Windows.
Verify speakers are on & that the cables are not disconnected.

Backtrack & see what (if any) changes were made by you or someone else since the last time they worked.

hmmm. go to your computer's sound controls and make sure the volume's okay and it's not on mute. if that looks fine, check to make sure that your speakers are plugged into both the power source and also to the computer tower

test your speakers...or maybe someone misplugged it from your cpu...there are three ports...the middle one is for the speaker...check that...
