My faithful companion is my dog her name is Venus and she is a full blooded german shepherd about 4 years old. I dont know what I would do without her she fills my life with laughter. I got her from a friend of mine when she was 7months old. She means alot to me because I was going through a rough time in my life, I lost my son, and she kinda filled that void. Whenever I come home she is happy to see me. She has a great personality she is truly a character, and a great bodyguard. I truly dont know what I would have done without her after my son passed away. I know my son would have loved her she is so beautiful!!!!

You'll be sorry you asked! lol. I have 30 pets! 13 domestic rats, 3 degus, 2 rabbits, 6 cats, 2 dogs, 2 ferrets and two parrots. One parrot is an African Grey and the other is a blue and gold Macaw.

I love them all! When I was very young and had a toy pram I never put a doll it in...didn't like dolls, I'd put my teddies in it and walk it down the road! So I suppose I always was an animal lover.

The Grey parrot is sooo clever and talks for hours at a time! He'll call out my name and say 'want banana' or want grape' Wanna come out. He also bosses my Macaw around saying things like'Meiko! Don't bite!....Good boy...It's okay' and the list goes on.

My Macaw can only say Hello, but he has so many ways of saying it to get his meaning across. He's so cute. If he's in a strop he turn round on his perch and puts his head down. He is also a thief...he snatched my eternitiy ring from my jewel box and flew off with it...never found it!

The two birds are really like two children (ours are grown up now).

My dogs are both rescue dogs, border collie and a lurcher, the lurcher went through a very large puddle at the park 2 weeks ago and yelped...that was £500 at the vet!! She'd cut her foot deeply and needed stitches. She is sooo sweet and very gentle but we had to buy a muzzle and it took three of us to hold her while we inspected her paw!

The cats have a hierarchy and at the moment the youngest, 1 year old is trying to become boss cat by stalking the boss who is 14! They all have their personalities.

Ferrets, have you ever had ferrets? OMG!!! They are so playful they love you to chase them while they run backwards, they're into everything.

My lovely little ratties, I do have my favourites and they are the older ones, they're all very affectionate.

My degus are sweet but prefer to be left alone most of the time with one another.

My rabbits, one is feisty and brave and when he's in the house he's not afraid of any of the animals, the other one is more shy.

I think that covers them all! They mean so much to me because I get to walk through life with these wonderful creatures and I feel very blessed to be able to do this. I just love making sure they all have the best life that I can possibly give them....to see them happy makes me happy.

Sorry, that was a bit long wasn't it!! Ha!

I'm not a natural dog lover - I'd always had cats, but for my 40th birthday my hubby got me a lovely little cream puppy - a lhasa apso - I'd always thought they looked cute. She's called Pebbles and seen me through a few unhappy years....she's gorgeous, friendly a good companion, lovely with children and cats..now if I could just stop her taking the odd wee in the bathroom - she'd be perfect.

Yeah, my dog Sable. She is my best friend. She has so many problems but I could never get rid of her. She spins (like chasing her tail, but with out the chasing her tail part.) all day. As she spins she bites holes in my furniture. I've tried everything to get her to stop training, yelling, herbal supplements. Nothing works and I don't think anything will. She also is extremely aggressive with strangers. She'll attack anyone who comes through the door, so we put her in the backyard when people come over. But no matter what she does I love her and couldn't imagine life without her.

I have a little deaf Lhasa Apso called Oliver whom I would be lost without. He is never far away, so loyal and loving.
My partner and I have chosen not to have children so he is our substitute, we love him and hate being away from him so much that we have booked a honeymoon where he can come too!
Oliver hates being on his own so we got him a pet cat called Twist to keep him company when we are out at work
We are all one big happy if not slightly unusual family.

My favourite person in the whole world and my best friend is my Yorkshire Terrier Suzie. She goes every where with me, except uni. I call her my shadow. I love her to bits, and she helped me through rough times. When I fractured my ribs in a fall, it was Suzie that allerted my parents and brought them to me. She is gorgeous, small and fashionable. Suzie has loads of jumpers, scarves, booties and coats...one for every occasion. If anyone upsets me or hurts me, Suzie comes to my rescue with her sloppy kisses. She's my guardian angel.
