why do you never see Peta protesting at Premarin farms, or fighting to protect the abuse of insects?

if they're against the mistreatment of *all* animals, why do u never see them w/signs protesting the sale of crickets in pet shops?

Peta and other groups do protest and try to bring awareness to the public of the inherent cruelty to the mares for the manufacturing of Premarin. Due to Peta's and other groups' efforts, many women have switched from Premarin to an artificial estrogen rather than support this practice.

I am not a member of Peta, but I do think they have done some very important and meaningful work in raising the consciousness of people to some of the inexcusable cruelty to animals that exists in our society. I agree that some Peta members tend to be a bit too earnest in their efforts--- but then again, the same was said about civil rights workers and people demonstrating for the vote for women. People tend to get passionate about causes they believe in, especially when they are trying to defend helpless and abused people or creatures.

Of course, I doubt that you, or most of the answerer's here, care much about any of that-- You simply want to mock and pretend to have hearts of stone. Yet I challenge you to watch some of the videos which Peta will send you for free--- See how factory farmed animals are actually treated. I guarantee that most of you will be sickened and horrified.

It is not necessary to throw out everything a group says because certain parts seem illogical to you. Be intelligent enough to have an open mind and find the truth.

There is no explaining violent fanatics . If they really cared more about animals instead of notariety , they could accomplish 100 times more by positive measures . Their kind can always find reasons to seek attention or to justify violence and hate ; and they are never satisfied . They crave attention & use animals to get it . I'd say THEY are the animals that belong in cages .

What a bunch of hypocrites that PETA, you bring up crickets, what about the sardines that get fed to the Killer Whales, seals and other creatures in sea world? What about the mice that are sold for snake food? Worms for bait? What about the living plants?
