Im in a physics club at my university and I was wondering if anyone else is and, if so, what kind of things does your club do for fun at regular meetings and what kind of things it does to boost recruitment. My club is pretty small, there aren't many physics majors, but we would like to recruit from all majors people who enjoy physics. Any Ideas???

I was president of my local university's Society of Physics Students in the early 90s. For recruitment we did several things you might try.

1. Sponsor the Science Olympics
2. Build a Rube Goldberg machine for public display on the campus grounds.
3. Cover the gym floor (off season of course) with a chain reaction domino fall illustrating principles of physics.
4. Sponsor planetarium and stargazer parties for the general public.
Good luck
