I need help on what kind of ppl were there when making the great comprimise. How many federalists? How many repulicans?

Here's the list of all of the Delegates who attended the convention. There were both Federalists & Anti-Federalists in attendance. The Republican party did not exist at that point.

There was not any political party back then. If you look at the delegates who signed the constitution, you have George Washington, a independent but Federalist leaning president. Also, you have James Madison, a Republican (or democratic-republican) president. The Federalists were the ones who wrote the constitution. The anti-federalists were aginsts the constituion and for the exisiting Articles of Confederation. Just because you were considered a Federalist at the time of the writing of the constitution does not mean you were a Federalist the rest of your political life. The names of Federalist and Republican were adopted after the constitutional convention.
