the microorgansms that live in the ocean form the base of the food chain, so if the ocean disappears, then life on earth is over. i'd load up my AK-47 and take several thousand rounds of ammo, drive my Ford Tarus into the nearest Wal Mart and start ending people's lives.

I wouldn't notice as I live about 300 miles from the nearest ocean and wouldn know it had happened til i put on the news on the telly.
