ttc,last period was Jan 3rd,07...have not got my periods still,I am now late by a week,took a HPT on 4th was negative....usual cycle is 30 days...
help pls....

took a HPT today,negative again!!!!

Wait a week, test again. You may have ovulated late this cycle for some reason (illness, stress) or you may not have ovulated at all. Also, you may have a corpus luteum cyst--they usually resolve on their own and your period will come a week or two late.

It is possible that you got pregnant late in your cycle (maybe you ovulate right before your period?) which means the Pregnancy hormone hasn't show up yet or isn't strong enough to show a positive result (it's actually pretty common)... The hormone doesn't start being produced by your body until the embryo implants into your uterine wall...it will then double in amount every 2 days. I suggest you make an apt. to have blood drawn at your OB-GYN...those tests will tell you for sure if you have any of the pregnancy hormone in your blood.
Some of those HPT's aren't very sensitive to low hormone levels so don't be discouraged yet. Meanwhile act as if you are pregnant (eating and medication wise) until you know for sure... :)

Take another test. You may have had a long cycle this month and ovulated later.
