Some kids produce more ear wax than others. What you can do is when you bathe her, make sure you get some warm water in her ears to flush out the wax. I would not put any qtips in her ear canal itself - you can cause damage that way. (Or just push any wax in deeper.)
At her next regular checkup, mention it to her doctor, they can show you how to remove the wax safely - they also can do it in the office.

My daughter is 8 and has always had a lot of ear wax, I have always cleaned them anyway, but one time I had actally compacted the wax in her ear and the Dr. had to get it out with a little tool. It did not hurt her at all, but maybe you should just use the ones made for babies or just clean what you can see without sticking it in the ear.

Mine had a lot of wax, too, and I had the same concerns. My baby's doctor said I could just clean out the outter stuff with my finger. (He demonstrated by putting his pinky finger in my baby's ear and scooping out the wax - ew!!)
Anyway, I have those special baby q-tips that are really wide at the end, so they can't go into the ear canal, and they work great!

Ear wax is good as it protects your ear and some people generate more...it's normal unless it interferes with hearing. Simply take one drop of mineral oil (at your pharmacy, drug store or grocery store)and drop it in each ear and it will dissolve the ear wax painlessly with no harm. No Q Tips!! It can damage ear drums and smoosh the wax in harder building it up. Hope that helps!!

If she has that much ear wax,you can clean the out side and inside but don't take a q tip and do the inside. take her to the doctors and let them do it, they will know the right way to do it, since she is that young I can just imagine how she feels with that, I had that problem, and went to the er and they flushed my ear. good luck.

Only clean the wax that is on the outside of her ear--don't stick anything into her ear. As long as she has no fever, isn't unusually cranky, or pulling at her ears then it is fine.

use the cotton bud to get the wax for just ouside the ear, you cant put the bud into her ear though, but its fine to use it to get the wax away. And my baby also had wax.

You can clean it out, and you should. You dont want toomuch wax to build up b/c then she wont hear the way shes supposed to.
Take her to the doctor if you dont think you are able to clean it out.

Wipe her ears out with a soft wash clothes. Do not stick q-tips in her ears. And I'd made an appt. with the pediatrician.

it is fine to clean the outside of her ears.. the baby qtips are great with that.. its jabbing the qtip in her ear that will damage.. but if you are not sure on using the baby qtip take a warm washcloth... wring it out and just wipe the outside of her ear... that way she won't have buildup with can also be bad for her hearing... but baby qtips are great my doc is the one who gave me mine and she said to use them b/c the don't go in her ear they get the outside wall of it... so goodluck and I would clean her ears out though... not good to have ear wax buildup
