Hi, I have an idea. Think outside the box literally. Make your box anyway you please, but glue one end of large paperclips to it so the cards when put on the paperclips will be seen by everyone and they will think their special cause you chose to display their cards. Kind of like a card holder but for individual cards.

You can make an old-fashioned mailbox from an round oatmeal box and a sheet of posterboard or even a regular cereal box, then paint or cover it. Cut the round box in half lengthwise to make the rounded top of the mailbox. Use the posterboard or cereal box sides to cut out the sides and bottom and ends of the mailbox. Duct-tape or glue it all together. Cover with fabric or adhesive-backed shelf paper or even construction paper. Don't forget the flag on the side! This can be attached with a brass paper fastener (we called them brads, but no one seems to use that word anymore) so it can be moved easily up or down.

I was going to say the same thing as the person above about the decoupage, I think this is an excellent idea, I made custom decopauge boxes all the time and it's easy and fun!
Maybe put a theme to it and find photos of famous couples in black and white pictures and embellish with pink and red beads, glitter, etc.
have fun!

go to the craft store and buy a paper mache heart shaped box and then buy some "modge podge" for decopage. Then she can decopage all kinds of stuff to it, like those cute little kid's valentines cards, beads, sparkles, magazine pics, whatever. Not hard, cheap, fun. Good luck!

Here's a link to a page on Martha Stewart's website: http://www.marthastewart.com/page.jhtml?type=learn-cat&id=cat22874&rsc=020507_hpdl2_E It's directions to make your own heart-shaped chocolate box. It's fairly simple if you have the materials and can be decorated any way she likes. Good luck.

Make a box, cover it with denim, make pockets and everything like it's the butt of a pair of jeans. On it she can write/sew/glue "Perfect Fit"

you could try cutting out tons of small different color hearts(red, pink, white) and layer them over each other and write with black happy valentines day. use glitter and fun stuff. Make it stand out. use tons of art supplies but don't make it to overflowed. BE CREATIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck!
