This guy I like gave me signs he likes me, he would playfully tease me, talk to me a lot and stare at me. I didnt realize it and now I dont say hi when I see him because its awkward because I think he hates me. He will talk to me still though. I didnt really give him signs I was interested. He is shy and he is single, should I just start flirting with him

he probably got the hint youre not interested and just gave up, or backed off so he wouldnt seem pathetic or annoy you. if you like him just start flirting with him

he most likely backed off because he thought that maybe you didn't want to go there! if you like him.. FLIRT!! One, it will give him a sign that you like him, and will let him know you can be playful too. I mean don't be annoying with the flirting! but just have fun, go with the flow.. just in this case.. you have to start making things flow. but once you start flirting.. just go with it.. and have fun!

Flirt away and make him fall for your charm! If he's single, there's a chance, so TAKE it. I say you just randomly call him up and ask him how he's been and what he's been up to. I'm sure he'll be happy to hear from you too.

you answered your own question. You backed off from him, and he's protecting himself. You don't say hi to him, you don't give him any signs, AND he's shy.
I feel bad for this poor guy.
