HAHAHA! How come you're the only one who didn't know God didn't write the bible?
Now, seriously, did you really think God wrote the bible? Do you even know what Gospels are? The bible was made up of Gospels.
Guess what? Atheists know that, I'm just surprised you as a believer, don't.

I don't think the Neanderthals were Hebrew nor were Mongols an influence in the region where the bible originated.
I've read accounts which say the bible was first printed (by men) in the ancient city of Byblos which was a leader in manufacturing papyrus at the time.
So it's a good possibility that the bible was written and edited by some ancient print-maker in the city of Byblos to make a good sale. Boy, did he hit the mark. Too bad he didn't copyright it.
Or if contrary to evidence and logic is accepted, then a supernatural, all powerful, invisible being that is everywhere and nowhere at the same time wrote the book which no one but him can understand.
Good luck.

I am surprised at your call for Atheists. Atheists do not believe in God. There are many people that do have some sort of believe in some sort of God, but do not necessarily subscribe to the organized religion's views of God.
Now, at least in the Jewish religion there are many religious people that do not believe that the bible was literally written by God, nor do they believe that it should be interpreted literally.
I think it would not make sense for God to actually write the bible. I mean, if God is so awesome how come she could not get somebody else to do the work?

The bible is a compilation of many different books.
These books mostly have different authors.
E.x. Gensis's author is Moses.
I think that you think that the Bible was written as history happened, as man was created.
The different books were written all at diff. times. Earliest was probaly 1500 b.c.
Society had been around thousands of years before that.
So God didn't write it nor did neanderthals.
It was written by men, and this has been proven.
Remember Christianty didn't become a religion until 10 a.d.
The Bible was composed by a roman emperor in 100 a.d.

According to official Vatican reports, the so-called "Bible" was written, rewritten and revised by humans over 22,000 times. As for the assorted writings that have gone into the "Frankensteined" Bible as it appears today, the majority of the oldest writings were written by people high on ergot, an hallucinogenic substance found in edible grains that people eat. The lands and people at the time and in the locations where the earliest known writings hail from were experiencing a record high ergot infestation, per evidence found in human exhumed tissues and ancient grain samples. Same thing happened to those poor people involved in the infamous Salem Witch Trials. When exhumed tissues were examined, they were loaded to the gills with ergot. Makes people go weirdo superstitious and mystical and, well, like on LSD which has an ergot component.

It was not writen by one person. It is a composit of storys that have been writen down by scolars of the time. I do not know the exact historical theorys of the orgin of the bible but I know that it is a composit of human knowlege that was excedingly relivent to people at the time. That would be who wrote the bibles material, but who wrote the bible: that would depend on the paticular bible you have. The actual printer of the bible could probibly be found on the publishing info, because I highly dought you got your bible derectly from the hand of god.

Look here, I don't know everything okay, because I'm only a teenager. But I do know very well that God did not right the Bible himself, but every day people like you and me a long time ago, wrote the Bible through God which means God spoke to them in their hearts what he wants them to write in the Bible. There is a God, just look around you. Where do you think all these things came from? THey had to come from someone. So there had to be somebody superior than us people to create this world around us. Makes sense does it?

God didn't write the Bible. In fact, Jesus didn't even write the Bible. You don't have to pose the question to atheists, because even Christians, Jewish people, etc know that the bible was written by man (homo sapiens!). Such men include Mark, Luke, John, Matthew, Solomon, Isaiah, and Jeremiah.

I am not an Athiest, but an Asatru (Pagan)....I have read the Bible and it seems to be a cheap crappy knockoff of the Edda.
Asatru started BEFORE Christianity, so I believe Asatru MUST be the "true" religion.
