Here's my top 10 PGs

1. Steve Nash (PHX) Two time MVP with career numbers.

2. Jason Kidd (NJ) A very close second averaging close to a triple double per game.

3. Gilbert Arenas (WAS) A scoring and steal machine that has taken his team to a new level.

4. Chauncey Billups (DET) His value was shown while he was out with an injury. All around scorer and passer.

5. Chris Paul (NOK) If not for the injury he could very well be as high as #2

6. Baron Davis (GS) Having a huge year on a sub par team.

7. Deron Williams (UT) Definately the most improved player of the year.

8. Kirk Hinrich (CHI) Has led his team to a new level with improved defence.

9. Mo Williams (MIL) One of the top rebounding PGs in the game.

10. Jason Terry (DAL) Always consistant and runs the best team in the NBA right now.

Honorable Mentions:
Jamaal Tinsley (IND)
Andre Miller (PHI)
T. J. Ford (TOR)
Stephon Marbury (NY)
Mike Bibby (SAC)

AT danakabeaver, you seem to forget what a point guard does. Gilbert Arenas is not the best point guard or anywhere near the top. He's a shoot first PG which is not a true or pure PG. I would pick Jason Kidd as the one after Nash simply because he does a little bit of everything and still has a few good years in him.

If we are talking about pure point guards, the next best point has to be either Jason Kidd or Chris Paul. By next year Paul will be the second best point guard in the league, if not the best. But even right now I would take Paul over Kidd, assuming they are both healthy. Paul is a bigger threat as a passer because he is a superior scorer to Kidd. Kidd has lost a step in his 13th season, and has never been able to shoot. Paul's ability to penetrate gets open shots for his teammates. They average basically the same amount of assists per game, but Jason Kidd plays with two of the better scorers in the league in Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson, while Paul has no proven scorers on his team after Peja Stojacovich's season ended after six games. Kidd is still the smarter player, but these players' careers are clearly going in opposite directions. I would take Paul.

Jason Kidd may actually give Steve Nash a run for his money. Nash is so good because he has a great cast around him on a consistant basis.

Jason Kidd could do the same if his players played consitantly as well, however that is not that case every night in Jersey. I would say Kidd is a close 2nd, followed by Stephon Marbury or Gilbert Arenas

I think in a matter of consistency Jason Kidd gets that second place, but the new generation of PG like Deron Williams (plus 20 assists 2 times already this season), Chris Paul, and Hinrich are closing in the gap.

Kidd, he actaully might even be on the same level as Nash. The nets got no talent on their team besides carter and jefferson, the rest of the team is horrible. If Kidd was on Phoenix they would still be winning 60 games. And Kidd is a better defender and rebounder. He's almost averaging a triple double this year.

Jason Kidd

That would have to be Baron Davis. This is so far his best season, and he is leading the Warriors completely. He has made them a better team, and himself a better point guard. He can out-do Jason Kidd or Chirs Paul anyday.

Gilbert Arenas, then Jason Kidd, then Chris Paul

If you take away the occasional injuries, then it would be Baron Davis. He can score, dunk, shoot, gives out a lot of assists, and he is a true point guard. Jason Kidd is getting older and doesn't score much. Gilbert isn't a real point guard, more of a combo guard.
