Do people in Egypt celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th? I was just wanted to know if Valentine's day is celebrated in Egypt or not.

Yes, we -Egyptians- Celebrate Valentine's day on Feb., 14th & there is a national Love day on Nov., 4th
& I just wanna say to "The Stainless Steel Rat" -hope he's following that- who astonishly wonder why do we celebrate that in Egypt, I wanna tell him that we celbrate Christmas too as well as Valentine's day. May be it's not a holiday (to your knowlage, The Easter Christmas is) but many peoples -specially young ones- go to listen to Christmas carols & many places are decorated with Christmas trees & decorations.
I -AS A CHRISTIAN EGYPTIAN- (just for your info, & yes, there is Christians in Egypt) celebrate all my occasions freely in Egypt.

Yea, sure it is. They celebrate it February the 14th like everyone else I've never been to Egypt on valentines day so i don't know what it's like!

yes it sure is celebrated in Egypt on the 14th. there is another day "Egyptian Valentine" is celebrated but I dont remember what date it is. Feb 14th is more common

We have a local similar day also but we just call it the love day its on the 4th of November of each year and its quite recent as one of our top writers suggested it some years ago , the late Mostafa Ameen

We have two valentine's days:
1-The worldwide one:on Feb,14th
2-The Egyptian Love day:on Nov,4th

Everything in Egypt becoms red, The streets and store windows even all the restaurants and nile boats becoms full you cant even make a reservation if u r late
