The things that make me lose it are so mundane though...like driving on the road with stupid ppl or annoying people on campus, or when i cant fix something, or when i cant get something done the right way....nothing huge!! just little things...
so when i know im about to lose it i wish there was something to do to help me calm down....

Every morning, before you get out of the bed, take 10 minutes to think about what needs to be done or what you want done. Assign priorities. Then, tackle the day.
When something irritates you, wait a couple minutes before you say or do anything. If you are still fuming, try to figure out why? Have you let 5 things bother you, but did nothing and now this is too much? Did you put yourself in a situation such as you are running late and now someone else is making it worse for you?
Take more responsibility for your part in what happens. Be tolerant.
Before going to sleep, review your day. It probably was balanced with some good and some bad. How much of both were you responsible for?

First of all, why do you get so angry? Why are you so impatient? There may be more to this than just the issue of losing your temper. You need to ask yourself these questions. Is it about control? Is it about being irritated with yourself? Take some long, hard looks at yourself and that will tell you a lot. After that, you can address the best way to deal with it.
From your remarks, it seems that you need to learn to be a bit kinder and more tolerant of yourself and others! Put things in perspective! You have NOTHING to be upset about. Imagine if you or someone you love was ill or dying, if you had no job, if you couldn't continue in school. Start cultivating a positive outlook in general! Make a list of things you're grateful for. That will help you realize that you don't need to sweat the small stuff! And most of it IS small stuff!!!!!!!!

The best thing that I can think of:
When I would hit the remote to lock the doors, the doors would lock, but I then would realize that I forgot to roll up the windows.
I would just say "D*AMN" and go back and roll up the windows.
Well, somebody invented a way to automatically have the windows roll up when you hit the remote.
It is the same way with everything. Traffic, etc.
Some people have the insight enough to fix the problems, instead of just cursing them.
Argument is a good thing.
"The person who has run out of ideas is the first person to strike"
-Confusios.
I think when it gets too deep, just walk away. Take time to think things over. Take a break from it all, before something bad happens.

Rather then think of things to do when you loose it how about finding out why are you loosing it over things most people do not loose it over. I think there is more going on hear then the traffic and when you can't fix something. I am not looking to insult you but your fiance is right and the signs you are showing are not good. I think you need to go talk to a counselor, let them help you figure out what is the cause of you acting like this. It will make for a happier and more peaceful life. Good luck,,, P. S. I do not think you are bi-polar as people w/ bi-polar are not aware of how that act.

sometimes it helps to keep a logbook about your outbreaks of anger then at the weeks end check to see what got you so riled up ! Take a breath and count to 10 in that time think of alterntives to answer and if it is worth to get all so upset . Remember life is to short to be huffing and puffing about everything !

I agree with the suggestion that you get checked out as bi-polar. There are medications that can help you maintain an "even keel". It also sounds like you could use some counseling and anger management classes.

If it is to bad you might consider being tested for Bipolar Disorder. We snap. Mood swings are very common.
