What are your children learning in public Schools in regard to Multiculturalism and Bilingualism?

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. First you ask what your child is learning, and then you say to be proud of your culture and not let the public schools brainwash your children. What if the public school IS teaching your child to be proud of his heritage?

I teach second and third grade in a public school in one of the most “multi-cultural parts of the country. In a class of 20 I have 10 ethnic and religious groups represented. Every year we learn about ALL the cultures of the children in my classroom as well as the predominant ones in the world. We look at maps and atlases, try different foods, listen to different music, and study cultural influences on history and current events.

I teach my students to be proud of who they are and of their culture and religion, yet I also teach them to respect their peers and their beliefs.
