and contradicting the theory. and just showing the problems as to why its wrong and refutable.

the reason it cant be declared "wrong" is because it cant be proved wrong to a solipsist, and you cant actualy experience what others are.

I hope there are no books refuting this. I don't subscribe to the theory myself, I've never heard of it before, but I like the sound of it. As for you, it doesn't sound like you truly embrace the beliefs of solipsism so I would suggest that you give it up and embrace another philosophy. Or maybe you should embrace solipsism and stop worrying so much about what other's think and just concentrate on what is important to you. Then maybe you will be able to find meaning in love, life and relationships.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solipsism

Does anything awake you from your sleep? Why do you argue with insane people? The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative and if an other can not tolerate the idea of an independently active reality, this other has psychological problems in their Judgment and a failure in the Will. Perhaps it is a compensatory reaction aimed at self reunification. The Will has not the power to posit a positive notion for an independent other as fear from their Judgment negates such a possible positivity and pain re enforces that negative systemic deformity.

Well you could wait till the person dies and then check to see if we are all still here. Or you could do some research and see if there are any declared solipsist already deceased that would pretty much clear it up. Now if you can find none who have declared then died they must be right.

Solipsism is a personal dilemma.
One cannot be sure of anything but one's own existence, therefore continuing to exist after a solipsist's death offers no resolution.
You can elect a belief system
Or you can learn to accept uncertainty

Why does this scare you? Why do you hate it so? Why would it make you feel better to read books that refute it? I think you are scared of it because it rings true for you. Most people are actually too scared of the truth to see it and accept it. Ask yourself these questions...see what kind of answers you get.
