People already have, some well known and some who may never be known, for better and worse.

The next someone could be you, if you are prepared, willing and committed to doing so. While change is a constant process, specific, directed change can take anywhere from seconds to generations, depending on the desired goal.

You must also be prepared that if your goal is lofty enough, you might not achieve it, but might make significant steps towards your goal for others to finish your work in their lifetime, if not in yours.

So:
1. Define your goal specifically.
2. Research and plan what steps and information you'll need to get to your goal. Facts are important. Plan on small, manageable steps.
3. Devise the plan to get from step-to-step and acquire what you need to go onto the next step.
4. Look it over from all sides, eyes wide open. Make sure you understand what you're committing yourself to.
5. Go out there and get that plan underway, making allowances for rough times, emergencies and so forth. The goal doesn't have to achieve itself, you do...and doing it in real life instead of on paper will ask much of you, maybe all you can give.
6. In and around your plan, live, love, learn and adapt.

If positive change is what you want to bring about for this world, I wish you the best of luck.

Yes. One idea, one concept accepted by the masses can change anything. Bell did it with a telephone, Edison with a light. Bill Gates with Microsoft - suddenly the whole world is plugged in! Look at christianity as a whole, a man that lived over 2,000 years ago has a following that is huge, his impact on the world can be felt more today than when he was here.

The world has been changed by "someone"s and will continue to be changed by individuals with vision: Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Muhammed and Jesus (no matter your take on religion, one must admit these guys were influential), J.K. Rowling, Oprah Winfrey, Bono, Benazir Bhutto, Socrates, Plato and many, many more who are not so famous but who made differences in the lives of those around them--thus changing the world.

We all change the world all the time. We do this though action and through inaction. The world is in constant motion and we all help to make it what it is.

Some people effect very obvious change such as leaders like Martin Luther King. Others contribute through more private journeys such finding growth and healing despite a history of abuse or through healing a relationship.

For an example of one twelve-year-old boy who made a difference, see:

http://www.freethechildren.com

His journey started one morning with reading a newspaper article about child labor. He did not pass over it and move on. He allowed it to speak to him and he took action even though it seemed unlikely that one twelve-year-old could have any impact. That was in 1995. At that time he got 11 school friends together, all aged 12, to fight child labor. Now the child-run organization of children helping children through education is the largest in the world. Objectives they have met include but are not limited to:

• Built more than 450 Free The Children schools around the world, providing education to more than 40,000 children every day
• Delivered 202,500 school and health kits to students around the world
• Implemented alternative income projects helping more than 22,500 women
• Shipped US$11 million dollars in essential medical supplies to 40 countries
• Provided health care centers and community funding helping 505,000 people
• Helped 132,000 people by providing access to clean water and improved sanitation

I think one important key to world change is to act when we, as individuals, see that action is needed. Great harm is done by us when we ignore the truth. Global warming may be a case in point. If we all troubled to do even our small bit, what a large difference it would make for future generations.

Recently I read that each person who comes into close alignment with his or her soul purpose creates a kind of ripple effect that raises the likelihood that others will come closer to this goal. I believe this to be true. Each person who acts for the good, betters us all and in some measure, helps us all.

i believe everyone changes the world. Just be being alive and living you are changing the world - no two people are the same. Of course, some change the world for the better and others the opposite, but they're all changes.

UNQUESTIONABLY YES !

But only if that one someone chain links hands with every other someone and all have the _same INTENT !_ Hopefully for the betterment of us all.

“In the face of adversity, uncertainty and conflicting sensory information, I hereby pledge to remain ever mindful of the magical, infinite, loving reality I live in. A reality that conspires tirelessly in my favor. I further recognize, that living within space and time, as a Creation amongst my Creations, is the ultimate Adventure, because thoughts become things, dreams come true, and all things remain forever possible. As a Being of Light, I hereby resolve to live, love and be happy, at all costs, no matter what, with reverence and kindness for All. So be it!”

We are ALL doing it every single day. Nothing is stationary in our life. Our lives are static, continually moving toward/away from someone or something; evolving/changing our conceptual perceptions of everyone and everything else. If one were to live in a total vaccuum, perhaps one could NOT change the world around them.....perhaps.

Everything on this world is constantly changing. Nothing here is static. We are living in a very dynamic world and all of us contribute a lot to these changes. Whether we like it or not all of our actions contribute to these changes.
