i still have to keep all my arms and legs under the covers when i go to bed, because of the under the bed monster. the closet door has to be closed and unless my hubs is going to sleep when i go, i have to leave the lamp on. when he is away, i always have a "night light" of sorts.

i like this question, i'd never really thought about it. i think the old cartoons are better, i like tom and jerry.
