Reverse racism is becoming a major problem and it out of control. It's sad. That is not what the Dream was meant to be. I think the younger cultures have gotten lost, because I am in the younger generation and I see it everyday. 90% of my friends and my partner are black. They use a lot of offensive comments in front of me. I just ignore it. They always say too, baby this does not apply to you. You know what, it does though. When they say they hate white people it hurts me. They don't see me as white though because they love me, they see everyone around them as white. I am white though. I love me and I love where I am and my family are from, please don't make me feel bad for being who I am. My family were never slave owners, they moved here from Ireland in about 1900, we worked hard all our lives and we are beautiful people. So that hate hurts. I am sorry for what happened in the past, but I did not cause it nor did I contribute to it. Sick people did that. I guess I get to pay the price though because of the color of my skin. People will always be ignornant. You have be the stronger and wiser one and help spread love to others around you.

The issue of race is quite a touchy subject with all walks of life, and it's an interesting question you've posed. It's of special interest to me, and i've found that the majority of white people aren't racist. the concept of racism has been given a stigma since the times of african slavoury in early America, that most people avoid any implication of racism like the plague. Black people, on the other hand, are not generally racist, although the is a large number of this ethnic group who use it as a "get out of jail free" card, as it were.
Say, for example, a caucassian person were to insult another. This wouldn't raise much in the way of racial issues. If, however, the other person was black, they would sometimes accuse the caucassian person as being a racist, no matter what insult or remark was made. This seems to be rife in America, but unfortunately so does real racism.
I happen to have a black partner, whose mother took a trip to Florida to visit her sister. In a store, she approached a counter where the shop assistant was serving a pair of young boys. Waiting patiently for them to be finished, she attempted to attract the attention of the assistant, but although she was standing but a few feet away, was completely ignored. This kind of ignorance is either implied racism, or just general incompetence (though the two bear a startling resemblance).
Racism is a problem which, unfortunately, may never disappear, partly because of its hateful patrons, and partly because of its presumtuous victims. At the end of the day, White people are considered the majority, ethnic peoples a minority, and while this continues the minority will always complain, on grounds false or true, of acts of discrimination.

I really hate questions like this because they make the most absurd of assumptions.
There is NO one race that is more of ANYTHING.
Because you have met or seen certain people that react a certain way IN NO WAY means that an entire group of people feels this way.
If anyone called anyone something other than their name the responses will vary as much as the individuals.
Sure there are some black people that are paranoid and sure there are some white people that are too
I AM offended only because this question (and ones like it) tends to divide and serves no useful point.
If the consensus on here is that black people are more racist, so what. If whites are more racist, still SO WHAT
I suppose the major difference would be the HISTORY associated with said racisim....
calling someone a 'cracker' is not the same as calling someone the "N" word.
Comparisons to like situations would certainly make this question marginally more interesting....
Either way, the results to this question and the other like stated questions that are asked ALL have the same answers
whites say one thing, blacks another
and YOU my friend have further exploited the racisim which I am sure you profess to abhor

Wow. It's so hard to come in to Yahoo Answers and see so many ignorant answers. To answer your question, most blacks and whites are weird around each other for good reason. Look at our history. At some point I can imagine a white person questioning whether or not a black person dislikes them because of our difficult pasts. And sometimes that's the case, but someone was correct in saying that you cannot generalize. That's where you've gone wrong. You are asking people to not be offended, and you mention that blacks call whites "crackers". Do a YouTube search and you will see that you have people in your own race that will call you a cracker. Also with blacks, there are people this race that identify each other with racial slurs/terms. There are also whites who continue to use these racist terms. Either way, what an ignorant thing to do. We are all responsible for carrying racism with us, with our stereotypes, comments and remarks toward each other. It's ridiculous that you want to blame one group of people. It's ridiculous that others cannot come up with a better answer for their problems except for "Yes, blacks are more racist than whites". What a cowardly way to explain your racism and your opinions of blacks. I wouldn't suggest a course in Ethnic studies, I would only suggest that you open your eyes and your narrow minds and stop posting questions that you know are offensive and will attract people with the same narrow-mindedness and inexcusable ignorance. Good bye.

Well actually in my psychology class we learned that scientists conducted this study with blacks and whites. The participants where placed in a room in front of a computer and these monitors were hooked up to their brain and on the computer faces would pop up, just randomly not in any specific order black and white faces would just pop up. well to make a long story short when a white person saw a black face the first emotion to
to pop up in majority of the white participants was fear or hate or disgust n stuff like that while the black peoples emotion remained waaaaaay more neutral. so 2 answer your question I'd say white people are more racists. subconsciously

I'm sure there are a lot of racist white people, but it seems to me that most white people bend over backwards to keep from offending black people. Where is the White history month? Why don't we call each other crackas, but make sure the black people don't say it? But instead we take it all in stride; not out of guilt as some might mistakenly say, but out of strength of character. The ocean of life is much smoother if there is not as much garbage(issues) floating around in it.

as a black person, i think that both races have their share of racist people... i don't think that its ok for white to call blacks anything negative and the same for black people... it all depends on the way you see it though, some people will say blacks, some will say whites.
