If i have both a hard driive and a slave drive and i happen to download a trojan onto my slave drive, would both of my drives get infected?

or what if i partion a drive, 1 with my os and the other with everything else, would my OS be compromised by the trojan if it was on the second partition?

No, its not like that, Trojans are not like virus which spread themselves, it usually opens port for hackers to steal your data's. Usually they will come in attachments, so don't worry, with a help of a anti-virus you can eliminate that

That depends completely on the specific trojan. It is very possible, especially if the trojan runs in an application extension that's needed from the system directory to run a program on the slave drive.

It could be. Trojans can be very harmful. I recommend that you get an antivirus. such as avg free. or the like. ( mcfee norton)

That way major trojans wont be able to do dmg to your computer

It could happen. trojans run at the system level, and like to spread.
