Valentines Day is a high street device to keep up sales as is
Christmas, Mother''s Day, Father's Day, Easter and the summer and winter sales- It has nothing to do with your temporary state. Beauty and attractiveness comes from within. Avoid ugly thoughts and be truthful to yourself and others.

Valentine's day is overrated!!! I was single last year and stayed home by myself and watched tv, which wasn't a big deal. However, this year I have a great bf, but just kind of looking it at it as any normal day. I could care less to be honest with you. I'll probably just get him a card saying "I love you," and that is about it. Seriously, don't be so down about it nor let it get to you.

think of the hassle and stress you have saved yourself trying to find just the right gift to give. Valentines Day is just another commercialised day of the year.

Get a few dvd's in (no love stories!), a nice bottle of wine and some munchies. OR go out and do some retail therapy.

Get loads of mates round, buy wine and pizza or any other food you fancy, get some films out or just sit round having a good old chin wag eating and drinking, this time next year you could be with the love of your life and not get the chance to have these mate nights in, have fun and enjoy.

are any of ur friends single? get them round and have a girly night night- do face masks and hot water wih teatowels overur head, paint eachothers toenails and swap ur most embarasing sexual encounters. rent a chick flick or two and have a midnite feast as u watch. sounds like something 13 yr olds will but i guarantee you itl cheeru up. alternatively go to www.lastminute.com and book yourself on a three night hol and go sunbathe in a gorgeous sandy beach somewhere

I am single, and I dont let the time of year get me down. You are not alone. Thousands, millions are alone. Join a club, or whatever you like. There is someone out there for you. Be open and you will see.

It sad that single people should feel any saddness. It has only bothered me one single year so far. This year, I seem immune, though I like to see others enjoying themselves.
