i heard giving birth the worse part of it is the cramps or the contractions, but you can still get that epidural. why suffer when you can be numb. your baby will be fine. you may take a slight poop while you give birth but that's normal. it does take some time to recover, but you have this wonderful bundle of joy and you will totally forget all about what you have been thru.

Giving birth is a scary yet very wonderful experience. For my first child i was in labour for 36hrs and I can honestly tell you that it wasn't that bad. With my second son I delivered him in 6 minutes, that was amazing! I had a midwife for my second child and she was wonderful. She really helped me relax and enjoy my pregnancy. At first I was skeptical about going with a midwife, but it was the best decision I ever made!! Just don't gett too worked up about it, because like every will probably tell you it is over before you know it, no matter how long it may take. Get yourself in the habit of relaxation, even meditation is wonderful. You dont have to get too much into it, just enough to help you for the birth of your child. the more relaxed your body is, the easier for the child to come, and when they arrive, nothing else matters!! Enjoy the moment!

When i was pregnant I was absolutely petrified to give birth, but you know what?? Once you get in there you get so excited about seeing your baby that you don't really have itme to think about anything else. I am the biggest wimp, but when you start having contractions, yes they hurt,ALOT, but you have to try to breath tthrough them that really helped me, to just take deep breaths. I would also STRONGLY recommend an epidural. I don't know about th epain of pushing, I ended up having a c-section because my daughter wouldn't drop or anything even though I was induced, but when I was having contractions I felt pretty miserable until they gave me the epidural, then you seem to get a second wind, because you don't have to deal with pain. Good luck, trust me it will all be worth it in the end. When they hand you your snuggly little baby you forget all the pain. Get an epidural though, it is a godsent.

I don't think anybody can describe childbirth until you are in the delivery room actually doing it. Childbirth is so different for everyone, my delivery was horrible. But the second they put your precious new baby on your chest and you hold his little hand for the first time, you forget all about it. It is the most amazing surreal experience you will ever encounter, and yes it will be tough, but you will make it through it and have a beautiful new baby to show for it! Don't be nervous! You will do great.

All I can say is, if was so awfully painful than women would not have more than 1 child. I would have had 10 just to experience the joy that it brings. Your fear of the unknown is common but relax, celebrate and get ready for the most most unbelievable experience you will ever go through.
I have 2 children (had to stop because of health issues), but was there when my grandbaby was born just to feel the emotion again.
Your little bundle of joy will bring you more joy than you can imagine.

Congratulations!!!

It hurts, I won't lie about that, but it's a really natural productive pain which you will forget about because it all disappears as soon as you give birth and hold your beautiful baby for the first time.
With the right breathing techniques, you probably won't even need pain relief.

As long as remember to breathe, and listen to your midwife, you will be fine.

It's only one day out of your life, so don't worry about it.
On the day, you won't have time to worry about it, since your body will take over anyway.

Well, the contractions feel like menstral cramps x 100 But! they have medication to relieve most of the pain. It is scary.Just keep in mind that if it was really that bad women wouldn't have multiple pregnancies..right? You will be OK. Our bodies are made for giving birth.

Honey I am just going to tell you this way if you was woman or lady enough to lay down and have sex you can be woman or lady enogh to have that baby and take care of it and if you can't you better not have an abortion at all you better put the baby up for adoption or let someone in your family who you know is gonna take care of the baby keep it, okay! Because abortion is not the key and it is an ambomition to God it is in the bible.

Well I am a guy and I cannot imagine what it is you are about to do. But my sister in law said giving birth is really not all that bad, it didn't even take her 10 minutes. Doctors will make it as comfortable on you as possible. But the best thing to do is keep yourself busy, keep your mind off of it, and breathe.

I was absolutely petrified of the pain...I had discussed this with my Dr so she was aware...we discussed various ways to control pain. I tried them all, and finally settled on teh epidural...for pain and to calm me. I had been induced so the contractions hit like a freight train...but with the epidural I didn't feel anything.
