For or Against Abortion?

please give reasons why. I am for it under the circumstance of being sexually abused and not have given consent.

i am for pro-choice... b/c i would rather the mother choose if she wants her child.. why should you make her have this baby and then have her be horrible and mean to the baby, that is how abuse starts. And why have social services come into it.. take away the child.. then once again we have another baby for foster care. We already have so many children and babies in foster care, up for adoption and ppl are making it really hard to adopt now a days. So many fees and regulations. That is why even celebrities (sorry sp) are going overseas to adopt children. I would rather a mother aborted her baby, then have that mother hit, punch, kick, abandon her child to die, and whatever else could happen for her to do. Why put that unborn child at that risk just b/c you don't want her to abort???? That makes no sense. That is why the govt shouldn't come in on the decision whether a mother can abort or not... i don't want an innocent child being born into a life where they are not wanted.... so pro choice.. and i'm also catholic... raised all the way and still believe in pro choice....
sorry so a post and had to edit .... ok you guys keep saying its murder... so if the mother didn't want to adopt her child out to anyone.. decides to suffocate that child (b/c they wouldn't let her have an abortion) and that child dies.. .that is the same thing.... and for those ppl that have the mind set that a mother shouldn't abort b/c she was raped or sexually abused... would you want to raise that child.. knowing how that child came to be yours... and what if you are unmarried and can't afford to take care of that child and other circumstances that make you can't have the child... what if you don't want to put that child up for adoption.. b/c the children always find their way back to the birth parents.. and are always hurt b/c you put them up for adoption and you didn't want them.. do you know how many children that were put up for adoption that find their birth parents.. see they have children now.. and see that they put you up for adoption b/c they couldn't afford you, b/c they were raped and didn't want you.... how would that make that child feel to hear you say these things.... do you ever think of the consequences to those children that were put up for adoption????? I know i would have been hurt if I was put up for adoption.. found my birth parents.. see that they have a happy family and find out i was put up b/c my mother was raped and she didn't want to take care of me.. then i would feel like i had some disease or something... so abortion is sometimes better then the obvious choice... don't judge anyone b/c you are not in their shoes.. and not all teens are like oh well i can't put my baby up for adoption.. ok sorry so long... got heated ...

I am so against it. Because it's murder and it's wrong. The baby didn't ask to be conceived and it's not fair for women to kill their own unborn baby. Teens use that as an excuse to have unprotected sex they think: "well if i get pregant then I can always have an abortion." and that's a really stupid thought to have. Abortion should be outlawed. Even if a women gets raped I'm still againt it because there is no reason in this world that would ever make me for it. I am against it because it's murder and it's wrong. There is always couples out there who are willing to adopt if they can't have any children of their own and that would give that baby a chance to grow up.

i'm not against abortion for the simple fact that in this society people do make mistakes or are raped. i've seen far too many pregnant girls walking around in the school right next to mine. whether it was their choice to have sex or if they were sexually abused, they need options. alot of people say abortion is murder, but would you rather raise a child in the street or on welfare, or would you want your children to get the best out of life?
personally, if i became pregnant with an unwanted child for whatever reason, i would rather get an abortion.

Pro-Choice in all circumstances


Some of these people live in a LA LA land and need to stop preaching especially if they havent been in the situation. There is a big difference between someone who goes out and blows someones head off and a women who has an abortion. You do not class her as a murderer and put her in the same category. Please get real.

I agree with you to some degree. If a woman is raped or has become aware of something early in pregnancy that could cause major problems then maybe it is best. I have a friend that was told when she was four months that her baby had spina bifida and many friends and family told her she should abort. The doc's said her baby would not walk, not be able to move lower extremities or be born paralyzed. Her baby is doing great! She is now 1 and working on using her legs! It is sad that women have abortions because they feel it is not "a good time in their life" to have children....?? Should have thought of that before laying down to have sex. I know many women who have had abortions and it tore them apart and they usually end up regretting it. Or they thought about it and decided not to do it and there baby is the best thing that ever happened to them!!!

For it....under the same circumstances you listed above....but that's about it. Other than that, Against abortion for those who just didn't practice safe sex. A woman has the right to choose when it comes to sex. If it is not consensual, and she gets pregnant, once again the woman has the choice. I wouldn't want to be reminded of my attacker ever day.

I am for it cuz say a 13 year old girl gets pregnat. having a child at such a young age can cause death or some kind of really bad disease. maybe a 32 year old gets pregnat on accident...she really does not want the child. you are not really killing a human...you are killing like a chicken egg. it has never seen life and it may not because of a miscarrige(or however you spell it). the people who get abortions get them because if they have the baby, it can ruin their lives under certian conditions.

For the choice.
Against the act.

It's not for me to make the moral and ethical decisions for others, but I most definitely wish they would choose to deliver the baby.

I also don't believe that you can legislate morality, so making laws against it won't make our citizens more moral. Additionally, outlawing it will only lead to more illegal abortions, which often are not safe.

I firmly believe it is up to us as parents to teach appropriate moral lessons to our children...By raising them to believe that this is wrong, we will have a bunch of future adults who will make the right choices.

I am against it I think we all should have a choice MOST of us do except ones who are pregnant by rape and other horrible circumstances .....but for the ones of us who knew the consquences of what we are doing I say we shouldnt have a choice!-kristy

what!sexually abused and pregnant..omg god bless you..i am against abortion usually but the circumstances also depend too. I would abort if i was in any danger or the baby is in danger,,or raped,,but if it is used as a birth control method
