I've read the other questions that are similar to mine but i still don't understand what to do....
i just installed the printer ( Lexmark X1185) on to my laptop and i was wondering if i could print wirelessly from anywhere inside my house...this would be very useful to me so i would like to know how.... right now i can print things from my laptop..just that i have to have the printer directly plugged into my laptop...so i figured that that was pretty lame so now im asking here of how i can print wirelessly...

You need to buy a wireless print server, they are about 90 bucks.

If you have another computer on your network, then install the printer on that and share the printer, your laptop can then use it as long as that other computer is up.

You can also buy a wireless print server and plug the usb of the printer into that, making it available from any other computer on your network, anytime.

You need a wireless network connection on your computer, a wireless router in your house, and a wireless network adapter specific to a printer connected to your printer.
The instructions for the printer network adapter should tell you how to setup your system.
