i am 13 and i like some of the old music like the song purple rain that prince sung at the superbowl and some billy idol and madonna a little. i even like metallica. i also like rap and r and b. do you think it is wierd that i like my parents music?

Im 13 its not weird I like some songs of my parent but there new songs but I dont like madonna I like new songs and I dont know who is billy idol but I like some old songs but from the 1999

I think it's perfectly fine. I'm about the same age and I listen to Metallica, Queensryche, and Pretty Maids, all back from the '80s. Actually, my mom doesn't even appreciate that music; only my dad and I listen to it.

It's perfectly fine to like that kind of music. Everyone is allowed to like whatever music they want. It doesn't matter what other people think. I also enjoy that music. Billy Idol ROX MY SOX!!!!!!! Just listen to whatever you like and don't let anyone tell you that you are weird because of the music that you like.

No way! I mean, I personally don't listen to that stuff, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have friends that listen to My Chemical Romance, Dolly Parton, and everything in between. I like them all just the same. The music you listen to isn't everything!

no. you grew up listening to your parents music, so you grew to like it. it's perfectly normal. i like some of the rock songs my mom likes.
