i dont get why it is bad to share makeup like eyeliner or mascaraa i do it all the time.

germs and bacteria! eww! the other person could have an infection and give it to you! not to mention COOTIES!

Eww! No. There are tons of germs and bacteria that can be shared by body fluid such as tears or skin oils and sweat. Including everything from common colds and viruses to pink eye or herpes. Yes, the chances are slim, that you will contract AIDS or bird flu, but I wouldn't chance it. That's why if you notice at make up counters they always give everyone new applicators so that they aren't held liable for promoting disease.

Your skin has different types of oils than the person you're sharing it from. It is easy to spread bacteria [even harmful] to your friend/co-worker. Do not share it. One day you might wake up with pimples or a certain rash.

You're spreading bacteria by sharing. The eye area is the worst. That's how you get conjunctivitus and other yucky things.

I knew a girl in school who shared makeup with her friend and she ended up getting ringworm from it. YUCK!!!

Basically because people are gross. You may not get an eye infection like they always warn you about, but you may get acne or something.

Germs you can get all sort of nasty little things like infections and such from other peoples germs!

Microorganisms from one person's skin, eye lashes, etc. can be passed from person-to person. This can result in infections that wouldn't have happened if the"bounty" hadn't been grabbed and used.

Just think... what if this girl is coming down with conjunctivitus? It is just not sanitary and infection and bacteria spread rapidly.
