I thought we won when we deposed Saddam and destroyed the weapons he had. And how do you fight a war against a religion that is world wide? I guess winning the "war" against "Islamfascism" is keeping the terrorists out of our country. We don't check people crossing the border from Mexico. I've been waved through numerous times (I live in a border state) and only 20% of the cargo coming into the U.S. is checked. The best way to win this so-called war is to build better protections at home and I think liberals and conservatives agree on that.

If conservatives wanted to win the war against Islamofashists, they would not have destabilized Iraq which allowed the Islamofashists into Iraq.

While Saddam was in power, he held a secular government that came down hard on religious extremists otherwise known as terrorists.

After the deposing of Saddam our leaders for some reason or other thought Iraq was going to turn into the land of milk and honey. Instead it's turned into a killing field for all involved. The lack of planning after the success of deposing Saddam is inexcusable. It was never to defeat terrorism and our presence there has caused more problems than it has helped. How can we win when the objective is constantly changing?

We can pour money, and more imporantly bodies, into Iraq until we run out- but will that solve ANYTHING? Iraq is already won. Pull the troops, and let the Iraqis solve their own problems. If we don't like the way they do it, at least we'll have fresh troops to slap them down again.

I would think that all Americans want to win the war on terror. This is really funny watching all of you duke it out when you are all on the same side. I bet the terrorists are over there laughing their butts off...either that or they are reading your posts here thinking...they'll destroy themselves. ha!

Man o' man is this country divided or what? All I see on here is Liberals are liars, conservatives are killers and money hungry. Geeez! When the hell are we going to wake the hell up. How are we supposed to fight a war when we are too busy fighting amongst ourselves? We are Americans. Moderation is what we need. Too far right too far left. We are terrorists to ourselves, destroying our great country from within. Makes me sick. We already lost then.

That's some pretty tough talk. You been there, duking it out, going blow for blow with those Commie, I mean Islamo-Terror-Fascist-Nazi-Mafia-Narco-Eco-Thugs, have you? Praise the Lord and pass the ammo, Charleton. You got it right, brother. BTW, you see Springer yesterday?

Your characterization of the lie-based quagmire and civil war in Iraq is wrong. It is not a war against Islamofascism, it is a huge mess caused by idiots who lied to us and themselves about the true nature of the problems there.

Until the rightwingers quit lying to themselves and everyone else, we will never succeed in bringing peace to the Middle East.

Neither party cares nearly as much about your soldiers as they do about the upcoming election. Bascially they are afraid of making a decision one way or the other now and regretting it come election time. Politics as usual.
